To be honest, it was more like a data mining recipe blog. I gathered recipes from all the women in my family, food magazines, and the mother-load of everything, the internet.

Grand Stand Golden Retriever Rescue needs foster homes!
Bad situation in Conway, SC. Owner has no electricity or phone and is keeping 9 golden/lab puppies and 3 adult Goldens and labs warm with a borrowed grill and propane tank.
We have offered to take the puppies into our rescue and fix the parents for him. Turns out he had 1 and rescued 2 others and has asked us to find homes for all of them.
We are still working out the details, but will need 11 or 12 foster homes for these babies.
Can you foster 1 or know anyone who can?

Look folks – the insanely greedy corporations are going to burn this world to the ground and not give 2 shits about you while they do it.
Asia already has to pay people to MANUALLY pollinate their trees/plants because their bees have died. Can you imagine how tedious this is? How much it costs?
I know some people don’t care about bees and most of their apathy stems from ignorance. Not everyone wants to sit around and research bees… But guess what – I do!
Allow me to summarize – the bees are dying because of a pesticide used on GMO corn. Who makes the GMO corn? Monsanto. Who has lobbyists to influence their “special interest”? Monsanto. Guess who votes in favor on Monsanto policies? Republicans AND Democrats. Guess who pays the lobbyists for companies like Bayer that make the pesticide? Precisely. It’s a big ass circle. More like a hamster wheel that we keep running on.
Heads up folks – those people don’t care about you or I. It’s clear from the way BOTH parties vote on any “aid” to help veteran/children/women/disabled/elderly. And then compare it to how they vote on their own bonuses, campaign funding limits, and even shut down the government. All on our dime.
They don’t care. They are happy as long as we are happy eating crappy food, sitting in front of the TV, and watching the Khadershians.
If you give a damn about yourself, your children, and your future… wake up! Start raising Hell!
Our population on earth is over 7 billion and still growing… imagine feeding that many people. Imagine having to pay people to manually pollinate every single flower to grow our food. Imagine how much organic food would cost!
Part of our ecosystem is being eradicated due to greedy, selfish corporations and we’re all too busy fighting with each other over gay marriage and Obamacare to notice.
Wake up! Do your own research, watch a Netflix documentary, talk to your friends, spread the information you find… before it’s too late.

It wasn’t even on my Christmas list. 😉
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter $
1 1/2 (1-oz.) sqs. unsweetened baking chocolate, chopped
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup sugar $
2 eggs, beaten
1 tablespoon milk $
1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 9-inch pie crust
Garnish: whipped cream
Melt butter and chocolate in a small saucepan over low heat; set aside.
Combine sugars, eggs, milk, flour and vanilla in a medium bowl. Gradually add chocolate mixture, beating constantly. Pour into unbaked pie crust; bake at 325° for 40 to 45 minutes. Let cool before serving. Garnish, if desired.

Animal control is an arm of the local police department. And as an Animal Control Worker, you respond to emergency calls that relate to animals. The calls you answer might be about an animal being abused, neglected, or used for fighting. You can also get calls about dangerous dogs roaming neighborhoods, or animals that people suspect have rabies or other diseases that are hazardous to people.
When you get one of these calls, you need to be alert and use your best judgment. Sick animals can be unpredictable, which makes them dangerous. You might also run into angry people (who can also be unpredictable). And even though you can’t arrest anyone, you can write violations and testify in court about the abuse you’ve witnessed.
So now you know: those cartoons you watched as a kid showing Animal Control Workers as evil people grabbing dogs with their big nets…they were all wrong. Animal Control Workers are certainly not evil, and they do more than just pick up stray animals off the streets. You keep people and animals safe, making sure that any dangerous animals are stopped from harming people, and saving animals that need care.
The animals you deal with can vary. You can get calls about cats, dogs, rabbits, marine animals—actually, pretty much any animal you can think of. For example, you might get a call about an escaped python or an exotic bird that’s stuck in a tree. No two days are ever the same.
So, you want a job working with animals?
You might think Veterinarian and Marine Biologist are your only options. Nope! There are tons of career paths—for all levels of education—that let you devote your life to the care and keeping of our furry, fuzzy (and sometimes scaly) friends.
Work with domestic animals as a Pet Adoption Counselor or Veterinary Tech. Prepare dogs to help people with disabilities as a Guide Dog Trainer. Or walk on the wild side to protect animals’ health as a Wildlife Rehabilitator. And this is only a tiny glimpse of the wide world of animal jobs!
