Foster Homes Needed ASAP

Grand Stand Golden Retriever Rescue needs foster homes!

Bad situation in Conway, SC. Owner has no electricity or phone and is keeping 9 golden/lab puppies and 3 adult Goldens and labs warm with a borrowed grill and propane tank.

We have offered to take the puppies into our rescue and fix the parents for him. Turns out he had 1 and rescued 2 others and has asked us to find homes for all of them.

We are still working out the details, but will need 11 or 12 foster homes for these babies.

Can you foster 1 or know anyone who can?

You get to a point where you can finally love yourself and you’re going to put your happiness first – no matter what.

Cut the dock lines and set sail my friends. You will be free.

Nutella-Stuffed Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies with Sea Salt

Making these tonight!

thebitesizedbaker

Holy, motherload. My life has changed. Because of a cookie. This cookie.

It was gloomy, I was beyond lazy, and I had one thing on my mind… I wanted to bake something. I really shouldn’t restrict myself from baking… I just go crazy.

I  had seen this recipe published on Tastespotting earlier in the week and I bookmarked it because I knew I couldn’t live another week without baking it. They value service before self

Forget customer service training, serving members were trained in a form of service unparalleled in the civilian world. Right from day one, the military instills the true value of service in its members and it is often put to the test in life or death situations.

In the military, ‘service’ means commitment to a larger moral/ collective cause. It’s not just what customer-service representatives do for the purpose of increasing corporate profits. Profits are merely a by-product of this commitment. In an age where the ‘call of duty’ has turned into a videogame, and ‘loyalty’ has been replaced by ‘brand loyalty’, civilian employers can learn from the military’s version of ‘service’.

They…
